How much will it cost for my students to participate? 

If selected, our program is free of charge to all students, teachers, and chaperones attending. 


Who is eligible to participate in your program?

The Student Experience is open to musicians ages 7 - 21.  We accept entries from both private and public music schools, music teachers, and unsigned bands.  We want to offer this unique opportunity to students truly passionate about pursuing a career in music, when applying please provide a little background information about your music, school, or band.  This information helps us find the right students for the program, enter here, participation form

* Musicians under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone. 


Who can be a chaperone? 

Chaperones can be your school teachers, parents or students over the age of 18.  We request at least 1 adult chaperone for each group of 7 underage students attending.


My school / band / student participated last year, can we attend this year?

Yes, The Student Experience welcomes past attendees! Space fills up fast, make sure to secure your spot! Fill out the participation form and let us know how many kids you would like to bring this year. 


We have been selected, which date can we attend?

Most festival dates can range between 2 and 3 days over the course of a weekend.  The Student Experience program is generally held on Saturday, unless otherwise noted.  


Is this an all day event?

 

Each Student Experience event is different, attendees can generally expect for the program to last between 1 - 4 hours.  If any special events are scheduled, they will be announced during this time. Students may be asked to return back to the tent for demonstrations, meet & greets, or tours. Upon completing the Student Experience program, everyone is free to stay the remainder of the day and enjoy the show. 

 


Entry into our events

Our program is free.  If you are planning to attend, please note the following:

  • Please make sure your name has been turned in by the required deadline through your group leader.
  • Entry with the program allows you general admission access throughout the day. 
  • You will only be allowed entrance at the time of check in with your group. 
  • Roll call starts at 9:45, entry is at 10 am sharp.
  • Due to the tight production schedules, we can not allow entry for late arrivals. Sorry, no exceptions.
  • Please keep in touch with your group leader the morning of the show for and last minute updates or changes.  
  • Please allow extra time for parking and walking up to the meet up location for check in / roll call. 
  • We do not cover parking fees. 
  • If you are attending and have already purchased tickets we ask that you keep the tickets on hand.  
    (If you have purchased a VIP ticket, please let one of the Music Experience staff know.) 
  • Once you are inside the venue, you will not be permitted to leave and re-enter without a ticket.  
  • Please check our list of what is and is not allowed into the venue below, we will not provide on-site storage for prohibited items. You will be asked to return it to you car or throw it away, please plan accordingly. 

 


Will my child need money?

 

Summer events can be hot and long. We suggest that your child bring enough money for food and drink.

There are a variety of food trucks, specialty food, and drink vendors available.

ATM's are available at each event. 


What can I bring with me?

The Music Experience offers an awesome networking environment, please let us know if you plan to bring music demos and cards.

 

All festivals have a set of rules we must abide by, please read a list of items not allowed into the festivals.

  • No glass containers
  • No video cameras or Go Pros
  • No audio recording devices
  • No laptops or tablets
  • No professional cameras or cameras with removable lenses
  • No selfie sticks
  • No lasers or laser pointers
  • No drones
  • No chairs of any kind
  • No umbrellas
  • No hula hoops or totems
  • No balloons or beach balls
  • No confetti or glow sticks
  • No aerosol cans
  • No whistles or air horns
  • No fireworks or explosives
  • No musical instruments of any kind
  • No bags, backpacks, draw-string bags or duffle bags
  • No weapons of any kind
  • No drugs or drug paraphernalia
  • No pets (with exception of documented service animals)
  • No gang-related colors or patches
  • No chains, chain wallets, or spikes
  • No unauthorized vending or advertising.

    If you present your prescription, medication and a photo ID at the festival gates, you will be allowed to bring it in with you. If you have dietary restrictions that require special snack or beverages to be brought into the show, you may do so when presented with a doctor’s note at the festival gates.
